Microsoft Will Move Two Factories In China To Vietnam

(Technewonline) According to information on MarketWatch, Microsoft will close two factories in Beijing and Guangdong and will transfer some equipment from the factory to Vietnam.


Microsoft bought Nokia's handset business in April last year and plans to close two plants, one in Beijing and one in the southeastern city of Guangdong province. Two plants that used to produce for Nokia phones. Accordingly there will be about 9,000 workers at the two plants are unemployed.


At the beginning of February last, some production equipment from two locations were shipped to Vietnam.

9,000 job cuts this time as part of the 18,000 employees that Microsoft announced plans to cut in July 2014 after they bought equipment and services segment of Nokia.
