There was news earlier that the Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system will only be coming out during the summer months either in June or July. But, now rumors are spreading like wildfire on the internet that the launch might be by the end of this month or early next month in March.

It is not just the launch date that has been let out on the internet, but there is no information about the bug fixes that have been implemented in the new updated version of the Android 5.1 Lollipop OS. Some of the new additions that you will see in the 5.1 Lollipop version OS are:

The Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system update is touted to be a major system update, similar to the one that was seen during the Jellybean update.

Besides the launch of the new 5.1 Lollipop OS, Google is also constantly releasing patch updates for the 5.0 Lollipop OS. Google had released last December Android 5.0.1 to reduce some of the bugs and the problems that were part of the Android 5.0 Lollipop.  Google then came out with another patch update Android 5.0.2 for the Nexus 7 tablets. But, still now there is no word as to whether the patch is rolled out for other devices.

There are also certain rumors going around that Google will be soon coming out with Android 5.0.3 patch update to get rid of some of the problematic bugs in the software, before the release of the all new Android 5.1 Lollipop Operating System.
